The Mission of the International Honor Society Sigma is to encourage and honor academic achievement in the study of business, to cultivate and celebrate leadership and professional excellence, 推动社会的价值观, 并为其终身会员服务.

The Society’s mission is supported by four objectives:

  1. Encourage and honor academic achievement by students of business and management through chapters in business programs accredited by AACSB International
  2. Develop Sigma members as student and professional leaders, and celebrate continuing leadership and excellence
  3. Foster in Sigma members an enduring commitment to the founding principles and values of the Society: honor and integrity, 追求智慧, 认真, 和服务
  4. Connect Sigma student and alumni members to each other and to opportunities in their professional lives

什么是?

    自1913年成立以来, the International Honor Society Sigma has recognized the outstanding academic achievements of collegiate business and management scholars.

    Lifetime membership is the highest recognition business scholars anywhere in the world can receive at a business program accredited by AACSB International. Only the top scholars of these programs are invited to join Sigma. Sigma is not a fraternity, sorority or student club. It is an organization that recognizes academic excellence in business studies.

    Members of Sigma comprise an exceptional group of business leaders – approximately half hold title of senior executive, 组织/部门主管, 部门经理或主管.

谁符合资格?

Only those students enrolled in business programs at schools accredited by AACSB-International may join Sigma. 才有资格被邀请, students must be in the top 10 percent of the junior or senior class and top 20 percent of the master’s classes.

All eligible students will be notified and invited to join Sigma via email after the close of the fall semester. The induction ceremony will be held at the 杰西H. 琼斯商学院 Annual Awards Banquet in the spring semester.
